Approved Funding is proud to welcome Sholom Silvestri as its latest mortgage banker. Silvestri comes to Approved Funding with an extensive entrepreneurial background, coupled with a Master’s degree in Hospitality Asset Management from the prestigious New York University. Most recently, Sholom was a member of Marcus & Millichap Iacono National Retail Group, one of the nation’s largest real estate investment sales, financing, research and advisory firms, covering New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Additionally, Sholom is currently pursuing a secondary Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance and Investment at NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate.

“Sholom has a passion for learning and understanding the real estate and finance industry to its fullest to help his clientele in every aspect of a transaction,” says Shmuel Shayowitz, president of Approved Funding. Working directly with clients to receive exceptional financing whether buying or refinancing their dream home is Sholom’s greatest passion. “Sholom’s professional background with his extensive education and top-tier training is a natural fit here, and positions him to achieve tremendous success at Approved,” adds Shayowitz.

Before embarking on his real estate career, Sholom operated a well-regarded garment care business for high-end Bergen County consumers. He has established many long-lasting relationships and associations with people who have recognized him for his sense of honesty and integrity combined with a strong work ethic that promises to get things done. His persistence and determination are characteristics that he is renowned for by all those with whom he interacts.

It was at Marcus & Millichap where Silvestri discovered his passion for underwriting and financing, which led him to pursue the opportunities in mortgage banking. “Approved Funding is a highly recognized name in the observant Jewish submarket within the New York/New Jersey area. I believe Approved Funding has tremendous opportunities to further grow both its residential and commercial mortgage lending business, and I hope to optimize these resources to my relationships, as I bring my value-added to Approved,” says Silvestri.

Shalom has a keen understanding of the real estate market and economic conditions, so he can seamlessly help his clients get the best loan with the best possible terms. “My favorite part of this business is the creative side – developing and executing financing plans and watching them come to successful fruition,” adds Silvestri. Shalom is excited about using his diverse business talents and knowledge to bring more value to his clients through all the systems and products available at Approved Funding.

Sholom is a lifelong member of Bergen County and its Fair Lawn Jewish community where he lives with his wife Anna Olswanger, a nationally known children’s book author and literary agent. Sholom looks forward to skillfully guiding his clients with all financial needs regarding their homes and has already deployed the broad loan product menu and unique marketing platform available at Approved Funding to help his clients, referral sources and business partners to achieve success. “We don’t just want your business. We want your trust and the trust of your next generation of home buyers,” says Silvestri.

Sholom Silvestri, NMLS#1730931, holds New York and New Jersey Mortgage Loan Originator licenses, and New Jersey Real Estate Sales license. He can be reached at (201) 833-0123 and via email at [email protected].
